Year of Jubilee 2017 – Claim everything that you want and have lost and it will be returned

I thought it will be timely to share my understanding of the promises of 2017 as it is the year of Jubilee. What does a year of Jubilee means ? Many of you may wonder.

The Bible describes a period of time most people have never heard of – the Jubilee year. It occurs after seven sets of seven yearly intervals (49 total) are finished. This proclamation of a fiftieth “liberty” year occurs on one of God’s annual feast days known as the Day of Atonement.

Because God owns everything, His will is that a man’s possessions are returned to him and he had appointed the  fiftieth (Jubilee) year for that to occur ( In the old testament) — it is a time of freedom and of celebration when everyone will receive back what they have lost !! This is a year of complete celebration, so the bible says don’t plant any seed or harvest what your fields or vineyards produce.

In Lev 25: 8-13, it says…..

“In addition, you must count off seven Sabbath years, seven sets of seven years, adding up to forty-nine years in all. Then on the Day of Atonement in the fiftieth year,blow the ram’s horn loud and long throughout the land. Set this year apart as holy, a time to proclaim freedom throughout the land for all who live there. It will be a jubilee year for you, when each of you may return to the land that belonged to your ancestors and return to your own clan. This fiftieth year will be a jubilee for you. During that year you must not plant your fields or store away any of the crops that grow on their own, and don’t gather the grapes from your unpruned vines. It will be a jubilee year for you, and you must keep it holy. But you may eat whatever the land produces on its own. In the Year of Jubilee each of you may return to the land that belonged to your ancestors”

So how do we make sense of this in Today’s we world we live in ? I have summarised the key promises of the Jubilee year and write down what it means to your situation. For example if you take the first promoise “Freedom from bondages” , write down what you want deleiverence from, and pray over it in 2017, before you wrap 2017 you will know that you have been SET free from the exact thing you have praying about.

 

1. Freedom from Bondages – This could be anything, guilt, offence, addiction, generational curses, sickness etc.
2. Restoration of Inheritance (Possession) – Any land, money you have lost, or peace of mind, what every it is, ask god to restore it.
3. Restoration of Family ( restoration of unity in families, relationships)
4. Rest from Work – This does not mean, you wont work, but the work will be not burdensome, he will ensure you have that worklife balance. Even people without jobs will have provision.
5. Deliverance from Oppression – deliverance where you have been treated unfairly, where partiality and favoritism has been shown etc, Deliverence from depression, thoughts of suicide, hopelessness etc.
6. Promise of Safety – Saftey in your dwellings, saftey from domestic violence, saftey from abuse, God will provide angelic protection over your inner and outer dwellings.
7. A Trifold Harvest – The bible says “Be assured that I will send my blessing for you in the sixth year, so the land will produce a crop large enough for three years), this promise is about a harvest without sowing/reaping , a harvest out of Rest, A harvest beyond measure” claim this over your households.

Why is this important, because this is a PROMISE of god. If you abba father can send his only son to die for you and I, keeping a promise is nothing to him, coz such is his love !! Unconditional and unfathomable. He will deliver on his promises, but you need to ASK !

Believe in him, and claim what the enemy has robbed from you

Claim the desires of your heart and year 2017 will be a year of celebration for you and I.
